Kesäpäiviä -Summer days

HELLOU!
 Ü
Kesä on kukkeimmillaan, eli parhaimmillaan. 

Rauha jatkaa lomaansa, Ilona on vielä viikon verran messuemäntänä 

ja minä olen jo palannut työhön.

Kesälomalla käväisin maalla.

Viikko sitten

keto näytti tältä,

 ja jasmiini pensas tältä.

Mummin portaan pielessä oli tarjolla tälläistä kesän antia.

Ja tietysti taas metsämansikoita kerättiin ja syötiin maidon ja sokerin kanssa.

Mummin luota tehtiin kesäretki Joutsan joutopäiville.

Siellä syötiin vohvelit jätskillä,

 

sekä katseltiin markkinahumua ja ihmeteltiin vanhoja ajopelejä.

 Oli siellä vähän uudempiakin koneita kokeiltavaksi.

Jopas olivat suuria!

And now I'll tell about my last weekend at country side...

As my daughter is now studying abroad

 I've got a huge responsibility for her cat.

 'Cause I wanted to stay over night my mum's so of course I took The Cat with me there.

And what did The Cat do in return? 

You don't probably want to know...but I'll tell you anyway!

He pooped in the car!!! :O

Well, it wasn't so bad how it might sound at first and 

we both ended to enjoy our weekend. :)

At cottage we had some autumn works to do...

 Like brushing down leaves from the cottage's roof.

While I was brushing on the roof my mum was raking a whole forest. 

Well, almost. ;D

 She also had to look after me and say every other second: 

'Just do not fall down from there now! Just don't fall... '

Mums! ♥

There was a quite a nice view from the roof to see.

The same view from the terrace the evening before.

Pretty, I say. But am I one to tell? :)

The weather forecast is promising sleeting and snowing for us in the end of this week.

Let's see if they are right.

Tänä viikonloppuna on ollut viileää ja sateista.

Mutta meillä oli mukavaa ja lämmintä Mummin hoivissa mökillä.

 Kalassakin käytiin.

This weekend we had quite cool and rainy weather.

But we had warm and cozy time at Granny's cottage.

We also went fishing.

Kapteeni katsoi horisonttihin..ja itse asiassa vähän joka suuntaan. ;D

The captain was looking somewhere there..in matter of fact to everywhere. ;D

Oli oltava tarkkana.

Attention!

Mitä nyt tapahtuu? Hei! Siellähän heiluu jotain!

Pistä nyt, Hyvä Ihminen, äkkiä se laite takasin sinne mistä otitkin!!!

What's up? Hey! Something is moving in there!

Oh my, Human! Where did you even take that thing?! Put it back!!!

Miksi ne mulle tuota otusta näyttävät? 

Hui! Toivottavasti se ei kato minuun päin!

Why are they showing that thing to me?

Whoa! I hope it won't look at me!

Nyt kotia kohti.

Soudas Mummi nyt reippaasti, että päästään syömään. 

Mun purkkiruokaa taisi jäädä vielä sinne kaappiin.

Now, let's go home.

Granny, could you please row this boat a little bit  faster. I am hungry.

I'm pretty sure there still is some of my cat food in the fridge.

Kyllä se kalastaminenkin työstä käy.

Välillä pitää levätä ja rentoutua, että jaksaa taas...

 Fishing can be a very hard work too.

One must rest and relax every now and then to keep going...

About the Midsummer - Keskikesästä

HELLO!

It is amazing! At first we have a loooong winter.

After that we get to the spring  and

 

 soon we find out that we are in the middle of the summer.

Where is the end of spring or beginning of the summer? 

I'm just asking?!

Any way, the Mid summer fest is now over.

We spent it at country side in the most summery weather and feelings.

 

 As every Summer fest we flied the flag and let it fly all night and the following day.

My mum has decorated the sauna with birch branches. She also made birch bunches for us.
There was such a beautiful scent in the sauna.
I made bunches for Rauha and Ilona so they can warm up and clean their skin with them.
So relaxing!

In the evening we also made a little bonfire as we always do.
This time we got a bit more excitement than usually.
Day before there was a snake(!) seen in the heap.

 

As every Mid summer fest we enjoyed our time together.
Here is granny giving her quality time to her granddaughter...with wellies.
Because of the snake!
Who 'run' away or..(?)
Some how frying came to mind now.
You know...there is no mid summer fest without pancakes...or crepes.
How ever you want call them you must know they are
DELICIOUS!

 5 dl milk, 2 eggs, 3 dl wheat flour, 3 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp salt... times 2 or 3.
Mix all, leave dough for about half an hour and 
fry thin pancakes with butter in the hot pan... or two.

Enjoy 
with sugar, jam, vanilla sauce, cream or ice cream.

   The mid summer night was warm and gentle.
We stayed up with the mid night Sun, of course, all night long. Well, almost...
And we enjoyed  the mid summer days at the cottage from the bottom of our hearts. 

 ENJOY THE SUMMER!♥

 It will be autumn in no time,

but let's have our summer holidays before that! Okay?! :D
